This production has been our final devised performance at University, and so, we wanted to make it as true to us as performers and devisers as possible, and just have fun with it. Because of this, we decided to mirror our own struggles and stories throughout our piece, so have focussed our themes around the confusion of being a female in their early 20's. The piece focuses on sexuality, friendships, careers, feminism, and more, whilst telling the stories of 4 friends just trying to figure everything out. A filmed version of this performance is in the works, as well as plans to expand the performance to upcoming festivals and showcases.

'Walking Blind'

'Walking Blind' is a new musical written by 10 year old Kayla Ayertey, set to debut at the end of April at The Ye Olde Rose and Crown Theatre Pub in London. Playing the role of Sonia, I have really enjoyed not only delving into a complex character and exploring who she is behind the 'bitchy girl' stereotype, but also understanding new culture's and ways of life. The musical follows the story of Ama, a teenage girl from Ghana, as she adjusts to life in London, and finding her own identity. This musical represents an important story, and provides a non-traditional figure for young girls to relate to, and I am so excited for everyone to see it. University Branding Film

falmouth-university-vector-logo-small.pn

This branding video shows off Falmouth University for the opportunities it can give to young creatives ready to explore their passions. As the lead presenter, I have really enjoyed expanding and refining my presenting skills at a professional standard. Filming this has been so much fun, shooting in a myriad of locations such as The Eden Project, the beaches of Perranporth, and on both Falmouth and Penryn campuses. The film was released in 2021.
